The Vera C. Rubin Observatory has found a new dwarf planet candidate.

"Astronomers Spot Mysterious Object Lurking Beyond Pluto. A new, undiscovered neighbor?" (Futurism.com)

The object is called 2026 ED138. If that is confirmed, it would be the sixth dwarf planet in our solar system. 2026 ED138 orbits the Sun beyond Pluto. It could be one of the largest objects found beyond Neptune. But that requires confirmation. This new dwarf planet candidate. It is. An example that something big can still hide somewhere in the Kuiper Belt.

“Based on the data collected so far, researchers know that 2026ED138 orbits roughly 46 astronomical units (AU) from the Sun, or 46 times Earth’s distance from the Sun. That puts it farther out than Pluto, which averages roughly 40 AU. Its brightness and albedo (surface reflectivity) suggest a diameter. Between. 370 and 930 miles (600 and 1,500 kilometers).” (Astronomy, Rubin spots possible dwarf planet)

This means. The diameter of the object. It is about half the diameter of the dwarf planet Pluto. The diameter of that dwarf planet is 2,376.6±1.6 km. That means 2026ED138 is smaller. Pluto’s perihelion distance to the Sun is 29.658 AU. Aphelion distance is 49.305 AU. That means: 2026ED138 orbits inside Pluto’s aphelion.

“Further infrared observations will allow scientists to pin down the object’s size more accurately. For now, it appears to be among the largest and brightest dwarf planet candidates found beyond Neptune.”(Astronomy, Rubin spots possible dwarf planet)

That also explains Planet 9 (or Planet X). It is a large group of small, very cold dwarf planets. But that is only one theory. Anyway, new dwarf planets are always interesting. The thing. That makes the Kuiper Belt interesting is this. Objects in there are very cold. So. That means atoms in those extremely cold objects can be inside the united quantum field. That means those objects can form giant superatoms. On. Earth, those superatoms are also created. term superatom means a structure where electrons orbit a molecular structure. This means all atoms in a molecule are under one common electron shell.

“In chemistry, a superatom is any cluster of atoms that seem to exhibit some of the properties of elemental atoms. One example of a superatom is the cluster Al13 (Wikipedia, Superatoms)

In a laboratory. Reseachers made single superatoms. But in the Kuiper Belt. Those things can reach enormous size.

One explanation is that a group of dwarf planets can hide in the Kuiper Belt. And their combined gravitational fields can affect Neptune. But that is one of the theories. That explains those errors in Neptune trajectory. That. The Oort cloud is more massive in some points than astronomers calculate. This means the Oort Cloud or Kuiper Belt is not homogeneous. There are denser and heavier points. But. Could there. Hide a planet. The Rubin Observatory found something. But could that thing be a dwarf planet? If that is. That could be an exciting discovery.
